The Peninsula Museum of Art occupies half of the main floor of the Twin Pines Art Center. The other main-floor occupants are the Belmont Arts Council Gallery and the office of ARTshare of San Mateo County. Artists rent the upstairs rooms for their working studios.
PMA?s "starter home" provides a wonderful environment for art, located as it is in a lovely park in the middle of the Peninsula. The Twin Pines Art Center site includes one formal gallery, a reference library, and museum store.
As the Museum grows and develops, additional gallery space and art education facilities will be needed. Since PMA?s current home in the historic building in Belmont?s Twin Pines Park cannot be modified to meet these needs, the Museum has begun a site search and Building Fund.
