THE TASTE culminates with a "Picnic in the Hills" on Labor Day, featuring Emmy Award-winning celebrity chef, Giada De Laurentiis, as she hosts a select group of LA's most respected chefs who share their fresh take on the traditional Labor Day picnic.

Visitors to THE TASTE can have their cake and eat it too when they stay at any of the exceptional hotel properties in Beverly Hills between August 31 and September 6. SUMMER HAPPENINGS
Summer heats up in Beverly Hills during the month of August. The city plays host to a number of concerts, happy hours and dining experiences guaranteed to slow your pace as you enjoy the great outdoors.

Music fills the courtyard at Beverly Cañon Gardens each Thursday night in August when Concerts on Cañon returns to this tranquil space this summer. A cross-section of musical acts, including LA Lawyers Philharmonic, The Chumbuckets, Bill Rotella and The Dustbowl Revival, fills the roster as concert-goers listen from the public grassy area (blankets welcome) or while sipping beverages from nearby patio tables at Scarpetta (Montage Beverly Hills), Bouchon Bistro or Bar Bouchon. Concerts are free, and seating is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Happy hour options are almost limitless this summer. Hang out on the patio at Oliverio (Avalon Beverly Hills) Monday through Friday (4 - 6 pm) and linger over $4 glasses of wine or beer, $5 signature cocktails or $6 small plates. L'Heure Verte, or the Green Hour, at Bar Noir at Maison 140 Beverly Hills presents a unique opportunity to sample the curious absinthe cocktail for $5 every day of the week (5 - 7 pm). Enjoy stunning views of the city and surrounding Hollywood Hills from The Roof Garden at The Peninsula Beverly Hills and take advantage of half-price wine, beer and cocktails every Thursday night (5 - 7 pm). Or sit poolside at Mosaic Hotel Monday through Friday (5 - 7 pm) and treat yourself to $5 to $7 food and drink specials.

Relax over Brunch on the Terrace at Crescent Beverly Hills each Saturday and Sunday (11 am - 4 pm). Start with the Hair of the Dog Happy Hour (11 am - 1 pm) featuring small plates and specialty brunch cocktails like Juicy Tangerine Mimosa. Experience Scarpetta's innovative Sunday brunch at the Montage Beverly Hills. Celebrated Chef Scott Conant partners with other members of Montage's elite culinary team to create fresh, succulent dishes that impress. Award-winning Executive Pastry Chef, Richard Ruskell, offers the pièce de résistance in the form of a decadent dessert and pastry buffet.
