Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Cal. State Univ. Channel Islands
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) has university-level classes for seniors 50 or better at the campus of the California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo. Most classes are held on weekdays at the University, but some meet Saturdays and evenings in locations such as Thousand Oaks, Oxnard, Ventura, and Ojai. These classes are intended for intellectual stimulation, dealing with such topics as Art, Music, Social , Physical and Life Sciences, History, Literature, Film Studies and more! There are no tests, grades, or college credits, just learning for learning's sake! Each year, nearly 400 community seniors take courses in the winter (January-February) Spring (April-May) and Fall (late August - early October) sessions. About 12-14 eight week classes are offered in each session, and OLLI members may take an unlimited number of classes from our great variety.
