Ali Ryerson Jazz Flute Master Class

Ali has performed and recorded with such diverse talents as Stephane Grappelli, Kenny Barron, Frank Wess, Art Farmer, Red Rodney, Laurindo Almeida, Roy Haynes, Julius Baker, and (as principal flutist with the Monterey Bay Symphony) with Luciano Pavarotti. Orchestral performances have included appearances with numerous orchestras throughout the country. In addition to her performance schedule, she is currently the Jazz Chair for the National Flute Association.

Ali conducts jazz flute seminars throughout the country and abroad, including presentations at IAJE, the NFA convention, New Zealand Flute Convention, Eastman School of Music, Ohio State Univ., Univ. of Alaska, Florida Flute Assoc., Univ. of Mass., Villanova, Duquesne, USC, and Western CT State Univ. Recently she was commissioned to write a jazz flute method book, due for publication August 2008. Ms. Ryerson is a Sankyo Artist for Gemstone Musical Instruments.
