Peter S. Bowen President, Servite High School Pete Bowen, a graduate of Servite High School, class of \'82, became the first lay president of Servite HIgh School in July 2004. As CEO, Bowen has overall responsibility for the school and its strategic vision, and direct responsibility for advancement, business practices, information technology and facilities. Mr. Bowen has been a member of the Servite Secular Order since 2007. Prior to Servite, Mr. Bowen was Ethics Officer in the Los Angeles Unified School District, responsible for creating the first public eeucaqtion ethics program. The position was a natural segue from serving as a leadership and ethics consultant, and as an executive with several high-tech companies. Earlier, Mr. Bowen taught at Duke University as a visiting assistant professor, and as director of undergraduate studies and Officer-in-Charge for the Department of Naval Science. He also taught at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) and North Carolina State Univ. Mr. Bowen served 11 years on active duty as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps where he was an AV-8B Harrier pilot and instructor. He currently serves in the Marine Corps Reserves. An expert on ethics leadership and culture, Bowen has been a guest on national TV and radio shows including the O\'reilly Factor, Discovery Channel and FoxNews. He has published papers and been a featured speaker at academic and professional conferences. Mr. Bowen has led departments in information systems, logistics, operations and training, personnel admin, plant management and substance abuse counseling. He serves as an instructor of leadership and ethics in the California Dept. of Justice\' Comand College course for law enforcement executives.
