Iris Folding Workshop

ELK GROVE FINE ARTS CENTER will be presenting an Iris Folding Workshop on Saturday, July 12, 2008 from 10 am to Noon.  The fee is $35.00.  It will be held at the Arts Center, 9701 Elk Grove-Florin Road, Suite A, Elk Grove.

Instructor Ila Lewis is a founding artist in the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center and has worked in jewelry making and beadweaving over the past several years. Ila’s newest endeavor is an exciting new medium called Iris Folding. The process involves folding and construction techniques with templates and a variety of decorative and metallic papers that result in beautiful 3-dimensional masterpieces.

Participants will learn how to compose and create their own giftcards using pre-cut pattern templates and Iris Folding techniques.  All materials including folding templates will be provided by the instructor. Just come ready to compose, fold and create!
