Oil Painting - Paint Along Workshop

The ELK GROVE FINE ARTS CENTER will be holding an “Oil Painting - Paint Along Workshop” on Saturday, June 28, 2008 from 10 am to 2 pm. The fee is $35.00 (no materials included). Optional additional $20.00 materials fee includes paints, palettes, brushes and turpenoid. Also a few easels, but reservations must be made. The WORKSHOP WILL BE HELD at the First Baptist Church Elk Grove, 8939 East Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, CA 95624.
Instructor Shirley Mendenhall’s artistic education (and experience until 1990) was in the performing arts. After first experiencing paints, canvas and brushes, she became totally devoted to the creation of visual art. She has taken classes and workshops in watercolor, oils and pastels since and has produced more than 2500 paintings. The workshop will focus on simplified oil painting to encourage beginning painters or to liberate advanced painters. The workshop will feature a completed painting by each participant.
No one under 12 years of age please. Private lessons are available by appointment (3 hours - $100).
