Elk Grove City Council Appoints City Clerk

Blackston to the City Clerk position. Formerly the City of Elk Grove’s Assistant City Clerk, Blackston has served the City of Elk Grove for nearly two years.
“Susan has notably distinguished herself in the City Clerk’s Office,” said Mayor Gary Davis. “Time and time again, Susan demonstrates her dedication to customer service and showcases daily a depth of knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern public records management.”
Blackston is responsible for overseeing all official City records, contracts and agreements, preparing City Council agendas and minutes, and managing the department.
“It is truly an honor to serve the City of Elk Grove as City Clerk,” said Blackston. “The opportunity allows me the opportunity to follow both of my passions: civil service and working with the public.”
