Our Mission: “It seems to me that we as a community should all take great pride in all that the Symphony of the Redwoods has accomplished over these many years. That this astonishing orchestra has survived for so long pays great tribute to both you who have supported it and those devoted musicians who have worked ceaselessly to assure its continued success”.

Our Vision: The Board of the Symphony of the Redwoods envisions continued growth and a secure future for its fine orchestra here on the coast. In order to sustain our ability to promote and provide the highest level of classical music, the Board has identified the following goals:

To create an Endowment Fund that will guarantee our ability to employ the best possible Musical Director and perpetuate the Symphony.

To raise the musicians' salaries from the current $50 per concert,

To continue to fund the Opus Chamber Music Series and the Chamber Music Workshops,

To develop a Children's Program and support music education, in part by providing musicians for concerts designed specifically for young people and performed in the schools,

To raise the salaries of the Music Director, Executive Director and Personnel Director, and establish paid positions for those doing necessary work, e.g., Housing Director, Webmaster, etc.,

To develop a Friends of the Symphony volunteer base to support activities such as fundraising, ticket and concessions sales, and event production.
