Glenkirk Church is a community of people in the San Gabriel Valley on a mission. Our mission is to communicate that God loves you. We do this by introducing people just like you to a personal relationship with God’s Son, Jesus Christ. We also do it by touching the lives of others with God’s love through local, national and international service projects that provide real needs like food, shelter, emotional support, clothing, counseling, and medical care.

We are a large church, but we’ll strive to find you welcoming contexts where you can develop friendships and find fun and meaningful activities. Children, teenagers, college students, singles, adults, and seniors regularly find places and people to fit in with at Glenkirk.

We don’t claim to be perfect. But we do graciously encourage one another everyday, that together we can become all God wants us to be.

Mission:

Glenkirk's Mission is to lead uncommitted people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. In that, we are committed to carrying out Jesus Christ’s Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

God

We believe in one God who is infinite, righteous, gracious in love, and merciful in justice.

Jesus Christ:

We entrust our lives to Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, who willingly came to earth to model God’s righteous, love and justice, and to die for our sins, so that we can experience abundant lives in the present and the hope of salvation for the future.

Holy Spirit:

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells each believer to protect us from evil, transform us to live in God’s ways, and to enliven us to exercise our spiritual gifts.

God's Call To Salvation:

We believe that God calls every person to humbly admit to God his or her moral and spiritual failings, and to accept God’s gift of salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.

Priesthood Of All Christians:

We believe that all Christians are called to Christian leadership as ‘priests’ (I Peter 2:9), each one possessing unique gifts, talents and life experiences, which combined, allow us to distinctively lead others from places of darkness into God’s wonderful light.

Scripture:

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. The unique authority and trustworthiness of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible is the normative standard which define the Christian Community of Faith.

Worship:

We believe that worship of God is the central expression of who we are as Christians.

Spirituality:

We are committed to mutually build up one another through the Christ-centered transformation of our minds, bodies, emotions, and souls, with the goal of deepening our relationships with God.

The Church:

We are committed to join other Christians in transdenominational service to care for others, in order to carry out the mission of God to reconcile the world to God’s love and justice.

The Christian Faith:

We are committed to the historic Christian faith expressed in the Scriptures and interpreted by the Confessions of Faith in the Reformed Tradition.

Service:

We are committed to the sacrificial and gracious generosity of our time, talents and treasure to love God, love our neighbors, and to serve the world.

Creativity:

We are committed to the vital role of the arts, the Christian imagination and the celebration of beauty in living out our imitation of Jesus.
