Our Purpose Statement

Hydesville Church's Purpose is to prepare people to change their world for christ

The Hydesville Community Church exists to glorify God, which is accomplished by the church fulfilling its calling - to make disciples.

Matthew 28:18-20. And Jesus came and spoke to them - saying, "All authority has been given to Me in Heaven and on Earth." " Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

The first avenue of making disciples of Jesus Christ in the Hydesville Community Church is evangelism. Evangelism includes the teaching and preaching of the gospel message of Christ, the training and equipping of believers in our church to reach out to our local communities and surrounding areas with the message of Christ, and the sending and supporting of messengers of the gospel as they bring the gospel to the world.

The second avenue of making disciples of Jesus Christ is the edification of believers in Christ which includes - the hearing and obeying of the teaching and preaching of the Word of God; personal and group Bible study; prayer; corporate worship and fellowship. The process of making disciples is through small group ministries, which entails accountability, support, and encouragement.
