The Centinela Valley Union High School District is located in Los Angeles County, close to the Los Angles International Airport. It serves an ethnically diverse population in the cities of Hawthorne, Lawndale, and Lennox, and is near to the famous beach recreation areas of Redondo, Hermosa, and Manhattan Beach.

CVUHSD has a student population of approximately 7,800. They attend either Hawthorne, Lawndale, or Leuzinger High School for the comprehensive secondary programs, or Lloyde High School for the continuation program. In addition, CVUHSD maintains an extensive adult education program. The feeder school districts of the Centinela Valley are Hawthorne, Lawndale, Lennox, and Wiseburn.
