Court Theater Restoration Committee Meeting

The Court Theater originally was designed and built by Vincent Rainey in 1945. The theater was in operation until 1977. Once the theater closed the building began to deteriorate. In 2000 a group of concerned citizens saw a need to have the theater restored to accommodate the local performing arts. The Court Theater Committee was organized by the City Council to prepare restoration plans and secure government and private funding for the project. The committee meets the third Monday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at City Hall.
