Award Winning Author Continues on a Book Signing Tour

Southern California broadcaster Manny Pacheco has a newly published book entitled "Forgotten Hollywood Forgotten History", which highlights the fine supporting actors of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Pacheco’s collection of stories includes written treasures that will enhance anyone’s appreciation of classic cinema. History comes alive with a fresh new take about actors and their films that track America’s growth.

Pacheco will be autographing his work at Borders in Sherman Oaks (May 16th) at 2p-5p. He will also appear at the El Segundo Author Fair on June 6th at 12:30p

The National Best Books 2009 Awards, sponsored by USA Book News recently announced their winners from the largest entry field in its six-year history. "Forgotten Hollywood Forgotten History" won its category in History: Media/Entertainment.

Additionally, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills accepted the submission of "Forgotten Hollywood Forgotten History" to their prestigious Margaret Herrick Library. The author’s paperback was deemed “culturally significant”, with respect to the history of Hollywood's studio era by its inclusion in this fine library. The Writer's Guild Foundation and American Film Institute's libraries has also recently added the award-winning paperback to their shelves.

Cypress reisident Manny Pacheco is a 28-year member of the Screen Actor’s Guild, and has worked in television and radio in Los Angeles and Orange County for three decades. He has appeared on NBC’s Santa Barbara, and the Daytime Emmy-nominated, In Studio on KCOP.
