HOLLYWOOD SCRIBE PLANS MAJOR EVENTS IN FALL

Manny Pacheco, the award-winning author of Forgotten Hollywood Forgotten History is set to begin his Fall Book Tour at the CINECON Classic Film Festival on Friday, September 3rd, just at the start of Labor Day Weekend. The author will be joined by newspaper radio-columnist Gary Lycan at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel on the third floor as part of the Film Book Fair taking place as part of the Memorabilia Show.

CINECON is a five-day event dedicated to Cinema from the Silent Era and Hollywood's Golden Age. Over 30 films and shorts subjects will be shown at the historic Egyptian Theatre. The Renaissance Hotel is located in the heart of Tinsel Town at the corner of Highland and Hollywood.

Pacheco also has planned stops at the Latino Book and Family Festival at Cal State Los Angeles on Saturday and Sunday, October 9-10th, This major book fair boasts over 75 authors. Edward James Olmos is a co-founder of the event. The writer will be moderating a Hollywood panel on Saturday at 4p; and participating in a self-publishing panel on Sunday at 2p.

Other stops for the busy author include a major book fair in Seattle the weekend of October 23rd-24th. His marketing team are also planning a few book-signing events and possible radio and television appearances while in the Pacific Northwest.

Forgotten Hollywood Forgotten History tells America's story through the eyes of character actors of Hollywood's Golden Age including Claude Rains, Basil Rathbone, Ward Bond, and Walter Brennan. The paperback recently won the USA Book News - Best Book Award (History: Media/Entertainment). The book can be found in the prestigious library shelves of The American Film Institute, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and The Writers Guild Foundation.

Forgotten Hollywood Forgotten History is available at The Paley Center for Media, the Souvenirs of Hollywood chain along Hollywood Blvd, over 30 Borders, Barnes and Noble, Chevalier's Books, and William's Book Store (in San Pedro). Pacheco's work is also available on Amazon
