Seniors now have the option to choose the Freedom Blue PPO plan to gain access to Mission Hospital’s array of top-quality healthcare services and expert physicians. For many seniors, this plan may be a reasonable alternative to a supplemental HMO or straight Medicare. Unlike HMOs, this plan allows participants to see specialists without waiting for a referral by accessing Blue Cross’ extensive PPO network. Freedom Blue PPO provides comprehensive coverage for all the same benefits available from traditional Medicare, including Medicare Part A, Part B and Part D prescription drug coverage with a comparable monthly premium and low copays. In addition to the basic services, Freedom Blue also provides for emergency medical services anywhere in the world, hearing aids, hearing exams, vision exams, chiropractor care, and more for the same low premium.
