Mission:

Mission Hospital is a member of the St. Joseph Health System, sponsored by the St. Joseph Health Ministry.  Our mission is to extend the healing ministry of Jesus in the tradition of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange by continually improving the health and quality of life of people in the communities we serve. Our vision is to provide compassionate care, promote health improvement and to create healthier communities.

History

South Orange County, circa 1969: On a barren hillside on the O'Neill Ranch, a group of proactive, concerned physicians envision the future. They know the rolling hills and wide-open spaces around them will soon be one of the fastest-growing communities in Southern California. They realize the need for accessible, quality medical care to serve the coming population. And they recognize the opportunity to practice medicine as they feel it should be practiced - a hospital built by doctors for doctors, allowing them to do the best job they know how to do.
