Drive By Shooting Injures One
from:City Of Modesto category:Government and Politics posted:February 22nd, 2008Modesto, CA - Modesto Police detectives are investigating a drive by shooting that left one man injured in southwest Modesto.
On Saturday, February 16, 2008, at 3:33 p.m. officers from the Modesto Police Department were dispatched to investigate the reports of shots fired in the area of Maze Blvd and Jefferson Avenue.When officers arrived they located the victim of a gun shot wound.The victim was identified as Robbie Hull, 28 years old, of Modesto.He was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
The suspect’s vehicle was located near the rear of the Budget Inn located at 581 S. Ninth Street.Officers saw two females come out of a room and open the rear door of a parked car.Shortly after a male adult jumped into the open door and tried to hide in the back seat.The car was stopped and the occupants were detained.
The male was identified as Jarian Roya, 28 years old, of Modesto.He was positively identified as the responsible for the shooting.He was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail for attempted murder and firing a firearm with gross negligence.
