About Us

The Morro Bay Friends of the Library is a nonprofit corporation that is incorporated under the California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for charitable purposes. The PURPOSE of the organization is to establish and maintain an association of persons interested in libraries: to focus public attention on Morro Bay Library branch needs; and to support and cooperate with the county, city and state to enhance library services and facilities; and to stimulate gifts, endowments and bequests.

The Morro Bay Friends of the Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

It is also important to note that the purpose of the Friends organization, as stated in our bylaws (included on this website) is to support the library with programs and activities that enrich the normal library services.
