Riverside Concert Band

The Riverside Concert Band was established in 1876 to celebrate the nation’s centennial and today is proud to be known as the oldest year round community volunteer band. The Band officially became a non-profit organization in 1981 and has been operating independently since that time. It is run by a Board of Directors that is elected annually. The Riverside Concert Band consists of 50 to 55 volunteer musicians who play for the love of music. The Band maintains the historical tradition of American concert band music by playing 20-25 concerts each year throughout Southern California. Band members represent all ages and a variety of backgrounds and perform the world’s most beloved and cherished tunes: classical to traditional to hand-clapping patriotic.
