California Middle School Prides itself on being a full-service school that meets the needs of all its students from special education to GATE, and everyone in between. Cal’s award-winning, experienced teachers and involved administration offer challenging programs to help every child reach his or her potential. To meet this ambitious goal, Cal endeavors to involve children in activities that will enrich their lives. For physical learners, Cal’s sports teams give them a chance to thrive and develop. The advanced learners can participate in a GATE program that emphasizes literature and drama, as well as speech and debate. Clubs such as the Key Club, Pan-African Club, and Yearbook provide a chance for children to learn the joy of giving back to their community. Similarly, Cal’s after-school tutoring program makes sure that kids who are struggling or just need a little extra help get that. Cal’s committed faculty and its partnerships with the Passage program and the Land Park Home Tour make Cal a place where every child can shine.
