Vision:
Sacramento Theatre Company seeks to be a vital, regionally and nationally recognized theatre company of true artistic merit and a business that is acknowledged as being vital to the economic health of downtown Sacramento. There are several ways in which the organization plans to pursue this vision:
To offer a broad range of theatrical work on our stages including innovative interpretations of traditional plays as well as new and contemporary work.
To produce plays that celebrate the human experience and transcend cultural differences in order to help the community recognize its commonalities.
To develop, diversify, and increase our audience base.
To research and develop new works. This would involve commissioning, developing and producing new plays and musicals that originate at Sacramento Theatre Company and are subsequently performed nationally.
To offer a progressive and comprehensive arts education program for both young and adult audiences and forge relationships with educational institutions.
