Early in the play, Lisa Kron describes WELL as “a multi-character theatrical exploration of issues of health and illness both in the individual and in a community.†At least that’s what Lisa thinks the play is about. Her mother ultimately takes over the loosely structured plot and, with the help of four other actors, undermines Lisa’s plan and reveals what it takes to build a strong community.
