The Downtown Stockton Certified Farmers Market is located on Main Street (in front of the Bob Hope Theatre) and Hunter Square. More than 4,000 shoppers per week come to enjoy local, seasonal and sustainable produce vendors as well as hand-crafted and artesian merchandise vendors. New vendors are lined up and bring a variety of nuts, fresh fruits – oranges, apples, grapes, lemons, limes, avocados, and vegetables – lettuce, tomatoes, celery, garlic, tomatillos, potatoes, onions. During Cherry season, market attendees should expect to see more than five different types of cherries, and throughout the season, shoppers may expect to see a wide range of seasonal and sustainable produce, grown locally. In addition to new produce at the market, fresh, organic Apple, Apple-Cherry, and Grape Cider, as well as pastries and desserts will be available. Visitors are encouraged to ask the produce vendors about their production and harvest practices. Produce vendors are well versed in their field and are eager to share their practices with the public.
