The YMCA of San Joaquin County is pleased to announce that Scott Harper has been re-elected as President of the Board of Directors. Scott is an Attorney at Brown, Hall, Shore & McKinley and has been a dedicated supporter of the Y. “In the past year we were able to open county swimming pools, assist with Junior Giants Baseball in Tracy, and provide more school break camps for youth which all speak to our cause focusing on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility,” said Scott.
Also elected to the Board of Directors are Heather Schlenger of Moss Adams, LLP and Sandy Kosaka of Wells Fargo Bank.

Heather Schlenger is a CPA in the tax department at Moss Adams, LLP in Stockton. A Portland, Oregon transplant, she has lived in San Joaquin County with her husband, Chris since 2003. She has two children, Eric and Natalie. She’s a member of The Rotary Club of Stockton and enjoys being a part of making the community of Stockton the best it can be. “Stockton has been our home for over 9 years. We moved here not knowing a soul and have been blessed to be a part of this vibrant community. It is important to acknowledge the challenging time this city currently faces. In light of that, I’m honored to be a part of an organization that is committed to giving families high quality sports, childcare and events that can greatly add to the health and happiness of a child growing up in Stockton,” said Schlenger.
Sandy Kosaka has recently connected with the Y. Sandy has been with Wells Fargo Bank since 2001 and has lived in San Joaquin County since 1990. She recently joined the Y board sharing her excitement about inspiring youth through Y programs. Sandy said, “My kids were involved in Y programs in Lodi. I had no idea of all the great things the Y is doing in the community. I believe that every kid should be given the opportunity to reach their full potential and I’m here to help make that happen.”
