Meet Celebrated Children's Author Jane Kurtz

Jane Kurtz, who spent part of her childhood in Ethiopia is coming to Tracy and will be speaking at a fund raising event on July 25th at 6:00p.m. at Grace Church (1330 N. Tracy Blvd.) She is invited by West High Key Club members in their effort to raise $6000.00 to build a functional library for under priviledged children in Ethiopia.  Jane is an accomplished children's book author and founder of Ethiopia Reads, an organization that is working to improve literacy in Ethiopia.  She has been awarded the Golden Kite Award in 2000 and Children's African Book Award in 2004.  The event will feature raffles, music, light refreshments along with Jane's books for purchase.
