Wildlife and scenes of nature doing it's own thing can be found wherever you go. On a short (2 1/2) hour drive from Chico, California to Ukiah, California, we came upon two memorable scenes: a small herd of elk grazing on a hillside overlooking the highway (actually the scond herd we saw), and a 'feeding frenzy' made up of great egrets, snowy egrets, common mergansers, double-crested cormorants and some California gulls.
