The Cortez Cultural Center Has a Host of New Classes Offered for 2009 Summer

Every Friday you can send your kids to drawing class with Jerry Cohoe, navajo pencil artist, either at 9:30 or at 2. Classes are $10 per week. He teaches adults from 11-12.

There is a Bug Walk & Nature Crafts class on Thursday July 9th from 9-12 at Hawkins Preserve for kids 6-10. The charge is $5 per student. Dr. William Stone is holding a 3 session Geology course called Get Down to Earth starting July 11th at the Center from 10-12. Classes are $50 for 3 sessions or $20 each. This is for kids and adults. The Cultural Camp, Ancient Ways Ancient Days, theme for this summer is Our town--Now and Then and starts July 13th with field trips, overnights and crafts.

Call Linda Raczek to register your 11-14 year old. There is a Framing Class on Tuesday the 14th at Bru's House of Color at 6:30pm. Call Jerry Cohoe to sign up. Thursday the 16th from 6-7pm is a How to buy a Digital Camera class with Barb Grist and Janet Chaney. This class is Free. Mimi Scott has Yoga on Tuesdays at 5pm and Thursday at 10am.
