Workshop Offered In Conjunction With DAC Juried Showfrom:Durango Arts Center category:Arts and Entertainment posted:May 13th, 2009Shelley Horton-Trippe, juror, offers workshop to artists This year’s 33rd Annual Juried Exhibition will be on display June 5-28, 2009 at the Durango Arts Center. The opening reception is scheduled for Friday, June 5, 5–7 p.m. The works were chosen by Shelley Horton-Trippe through Westaf’s online CaFE program at www.callforentry.org. Shelley Horton-Trippe will be offering a two day workshop June 6 & 7 in conjunction with the exhibition. A multi-media workshop in studio practice. For working artists as well as beginners looking for inspiration and motivation in their artmaking process. For painters working in any medium-oil, acrylic, watercolor, those working in drawing, mixed-media and for those artists working in more experimental approaches such as video, installation, etc. Cost: $150. DAY 1-GROUP CRITIQUE - A day to discuss your work with other artists. Both technical and philosophical discourse with Shelley. DAY 2-INDIVIDUAL WORKING PRACTICES. Each student will work in the DAC studio, experimenting with new media and/or honing new techniques learned thru Shelley’s various demonstrations. One-on-one critiques.
