Victorian Sunday in the Park

The whole family can step back in time at this FREE event. You are cordially invited to our third annual event on June 13, from 10:45 AM-4:00 PM, in Library Park, 201 Peterson Street, where you will find Victorian festivities for all! 

From the posting of the colors to the whoops of the Can Can dancers, this will be a day you and your family don't want to miss! A strolling Barbershop Quartet, magicians, and jugglers will entertain you while you eat your picnic at Library Park. Visit various craft demonstrations and booths manned by local historical organizations. 

Event schedule:
10:45 - 11:00 Flag Raising / Posting of Colors - 1st Colorado Volunteer Regimental Infantry
11:00 - 11:45 Rootin' Tootin' Dixieland Band
11:00 - 3:00 Free Horse Drawn Wagon Rides!
Noon - 12:30 Dancehall Darlings (Can Can dancers)
12:30 - 1:15 Rootin' Tootin' Dixieland Band
1:30 - 2:00 Dancehall Darlings
2:15 - 3:00 Grandview Victorian Orchestra
3:00 - 4:00 Promenade - Victorian Dancing

10:00 - Noon Barbershop Quartet (strolling)
11:45 - 12:00 Magician and Juggler (in the craft area)
1:30 - 1:50 Magician and Juggler (in the craft area)
Various craft demonstrations and booths by local historical organizations 

Also, what is a Victorian picnic in the park without the attire? Pull out your long dresses and top hats for the final touch of this magical afternoon! The Fort Collins Museum and Discovery Science Center will provide vintage crafts and activities for children in the historical buildings in the park. 

Food will be provided for purchase, but everyone is welcome to the free root beer and lemonade! Have you ever wondered what it would be like if we spoke with the richness or acted with the elegance that they did in the Victorian Era? Now is your chance! Come spend a day in the life of Charles Dickens, Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy!
