4th of July Gothic to Crested Butte 1/3rd Marathon

The 8.56 miles course winds through aspen woods and meadows from Gothic through Mt. Crested Butte on a dirt road, past the ski resort, on pavement, ending on Elk Avenue in downtown Crested Butte. Runners will follow the Gothic Road, running on the east side of the road thru MT CB to the Rec path, following the Rec path down the mountain to CB, picking up Gothic Rd in CB, turning south onto 5th and then west onto Elk Avenue. The finish is at 3rd & Elk. There will be four aid stations with water at approximately miles 1, 3, 5, and 7. Water, punch, refreshments and race premiums will be available at the end of the race. Prizes are announced during the parade.
