The Longmont Chorale

Mission:

The purpose of the Longmont Chorale is to strengthen and promote the vocal performing arts in Longmont, Colorado; promote knowledge and appreciation of choral music through highly aesthetic concerts; contribute to the advancement of choral and other forms of music within our community."

Do you love to sing but fear the idea of auditions? Then the Longmont Chorale is your chorus. The Longmont Chorale has always been, and will continue to be, a non-auditioned chorus. While the dread of auditions might be motivation for some to join our chorus, others may assume that our non-audition process lowers our musical standards as well. Though this may be true of some choruses, we are pleased to say that the Longmont Chorale always strives for excellence. The Chorale contains many quality voices with considerable choral experience and good sight-reading skills. Participants soon discover that we make very efficient use of our rehearsal time, with particular emphasis on having fun! The chorale singers are highly motivated because they love to sing and expect to be challenged, musically. In the current season, as in many previous seasons, the Longmont Chorale will present a variety of significant works from the choral repertoire. We love to sing, and if you do as well, come join us during our Monday night rehearsals. New members are always welcome!"
