Pelican Fest - Prince And Princess Contest

The girls and boys age 2 to 6 will be able to compete in the 4th Annual
Pelican Princess and Prince contest. The competition will be held at the
Budweiser Hospitality Tent located in the heart of the Pelican Fest grounds
adjacent to Lake Water Valley off of New Liberty Rd. and 7th Street. Parents
should assist the child in making a costume and attend the competition with
them. Parents and children should arrive by 1:30pm and check in at the
registration table which will be in the Budweiser Hospitality Tent near the
stage area.
The competition will consist of the following:
...The child must wear a costume which depicts the essence of an American White
Pelican.
...The child must walk up to the center of a stage, face the judges and state
their own name, their age, and the names of their parents, perform a brief
entertainment segment, then bow or curtsy.
Competitors will be judged on creativity, their ability to communicate, their
stage presence -and most importantly - their overall cuteness. A photograph of
the winning Princess and Prince will be emailed to the Windsor Now! and Windsor
Beacon newspapers.
Entry fees will be $5 per child. One girl and boy will be chosen by the judges
as the 2008 Pelican Princess and Prince and will receive a trophy and tiara or
crown. All entrants will receive a token of appreciation for their efforts.
