GPS Adventures Maze Exhibit

The DiscoveryMuseum’s current travelling exhibit is GPS Adventures, a maze exhibit which will be at the museum until August 31st.GPS Adventures introduces GPS technology - its history, current uses and future possibilities. Visitors learn the basics of traditional and modern navigation, see examples of GPS technology in use, preview coming developments, and try their hands at designing future applications.

The giant maze is divided into three sections.  By making their ways through the sections of the maze visitors simulate the sport of “geocaching”.  Their task is to search for hidden containers, or “caches”, and then use the information found inside to gain access to special galleries where one can collect information needed to identify a TREASURECITY.

Adventurous souls can also borrow a real GPS unit from the Museum’s receptionist and head outside for some genuine geocaching!
