Diabetes Self-Management Education

Instructors are registered dietitians and nurses who are certified diabetes educators. The course covers basic overview of diabetes including practical tips for daily self-care, monitoring blood glucose, low blood sugar and high blood sugar, sick days, diet and nutrition, exercise recommendations, information about medications, long term complications, preventive care and personalized goal setting.

Most health insurance plans cover. Co-pay may apply. We will be happy to discuss your insurance coverage. Doctor’s referral required- our office will assist with paperwork for your doctor.
Complimentary meal served at the start of each class.
