The fifth annual Easton Lions Club Golf Classic will be held Tuesday, July 14 at the Connecticut Golf Club on Black Rock Turnpike in Easton.

The Golf Classic, which moves to Easton after four successful years in Woodbridge, will provide a rare opportunity to play at the Connecticut Golf Club, one of the most challenging and dramatic courses in the Northeast.

The Easton Lions Club Golf Classic will again feature Calloway format (play your own ball), and fees include cart, lunch, open bar and dinner. Registrations are available for individuals and foursomes.

The Golf Classic starts with registration at 12:30 p.m., with tee-off at 1:15 p.m. Open bar and appetizers will be served at 6 p.m., with dinner and prizes starting at 7 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded for the longest drive, hole-in-one (with the opportunity to win a car), and closest to the line for men and women.

Individuals may register for $225 per person. Sponsorships are also available. Items for the silent auction are welcome and appreciated.

Proceeds will benefit eye research and the many local and international causes supported by the Easton Lions Club, including CT Lions Eye Research Foundation, Macular Degeneration Research, CT Easter Seals Camp Hemlocks, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation and more.
