Toastmasters International is opening its first club in Greenwich. The new club, Greenwich Toastmasters, will hold meetings at the Western Greenwich Civic Center, room 204, at 7pm on the first and third Tuesday monthly. Special events may be scheduled for the 5th Tuesday on certain months. The first meeting is scheduled for 7pm, June 16, 2009. While all visitors are welcome as guests, the new club is encouraging Greenwich area professionals and residents to join as members. Through Greenwich Toastmasters, members will learn to communicate more effectively, become a better listener, build the ability to motivate and persuade and increase their leadership potential. In addition, these skills will help members become more successful in their career, reach professional and personal goals, and, if that was not enough, increase their self-confidence. Club meetings are open to the public.
