School of Art - 6 Week Summer Courses Begin July 6th

Exhibitions through - July 15
An exhibit that will engage viewers in an exploration of the emotional, spiritual and striking aspects of our surroundings: Director's Choice - Rosamond Berg "Variations on a Wave Theme" expresses the beauty, power and energy she sees and feels in the flow and cycles of waves and water in her works of Asian inpsired paintings; "Sacred Places" painter and printmaker Liz Dexheimer creates invented landscapes acknowledging and celebrating the elegance of Nature; Alanna Fagan's "The View Inside" are paintings of real places exploring the psychological implications of domestic interiors; and contemporary artist Yolanda Petrocelli explores the familiar and subconscious mental landscape providing images that are both dreamlike and surreal in "Dreams, Women and Time."

19th Annual Student Exhibition - July 26th through August 23rd
This exhibit showcases the artistic achievements of the Silvermine School of Art student of all ages, from youth to adult. One of the most anticipated and popular shows of the year, this exhibition provides students the opportunity to share their accomplishments with one another and offers the general public a view of the fine work and creative energy that is generated by the student body. Juried by Professor Jon Walker, Chair, Department of Art & Design, Sacred Heart University.
Students interested in submitting works can download an entry form on our website; receiving of art work July 16th & 17th.
Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony Sunday, July 26th from 2pm to 4pm.
