First Annual War Canoe Races

On September 26, 2009 as part of the Third Annual MannKind Candlewood Lake Canoe and Kayak Races, The Mountain Workshop will sponsor the First Annual War Canoe Races. The event will have timed heats! Starts at 1:00 pm! This is a flat out speed and/or survival race on 1 mile of water on Candlewood Lake. Any group of 8 - 12 race participants may enter. Youth and Adult Divisions. Teams must cross the finish line without being sunk in order to receive a time. Monies raised will be used for Environmental Stewardship projects on the Still River.
