PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP - 2-PART SERIES FOR TEENS NORWALK PUBLIC LIBRARY TEEN SUMMER 2009 @ ETC 

The Norwalk Public Library summer activities for teens known as Summer 2009 @ ETC includes a two-part Photography Workshop seminar by Jim Kahnweiler, on Thursday, July 9 and 16, 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  This program is open to young people in middle and high school.  Space is limited to 10 participants; No Registration - first come first served.  Sessions will take place in the lower level Extraordinary Teen Center of the Norwalk Public Library.

July 9 - Session 1 - For serious photographers seeking a place to begin.  

This one-hour interactive workshop will concentrate on defining the genres of documentary and fine art photography by showing examples followed by discussion.  The instructor will suggest a few techniques, and recommend equipment and software.  Additional sources for exploration will also be offered.  An assignment will be given to help students contextualize ideas presented in the seminar.  Handouts and blog will be offered.

July 16 - Session 2

A one-hour seminar where students will share the images they created in the assignment. Students are expected to join the discussion on the photographs.
