Jam band moe. coming to the Ives Concert Park.

Rising from Buffalo, New York, moe. was recently described by Rolling Stone as a “legendary jam band.” With their new album, “Sticks and Stones,” rising to the top as the preeminent musical composition, moe. is ready to perform live!  The Ridgefield Playhouse and Premier Concerts are presenting moe. at The Ives Concert Park in Danbury on Sunday, July 6 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Union Savings Bank Summer Series, with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.

The progressive rock band’s current line-up is Vinnie Amico on drums, bassist and vocalist Rob Derhak, guitarists and vocalists Chuck Garvey and Al Schnier and Jim Loughlin on percussion and vibes. The band’s first record, “Fatboy” established them as a favorite of the 1990s jam band and improvisational rock scene, and just as Grateful Dead followers were coined “Deadheads,” avid moe. fans embrace the term, “moe.rons.” moe. toured with the 1997 Furthur Festival, appeared at Woodstock ’99 and performed at Radio City Music Hall for New Year’s Eve in 2006 and 2007.

For tickets ($32.50 and $25 (lawn) go to www.ridgefieldplayhouse.org.com. Ives Concert Park (on Western Connecticut University west side campus, Mill Plain Road to University Blvd) does not allow the carrying in of alcoholic beverages or glass containers to the concert grounds. Beer and wine are available at fair and reasonable prices at the concession stands.
