Every now and again there is a voice that comes along that simply blows people away. With those voices also comes a powerful stage presence that makes an audience feel a personal connection as well as a foot stomping, get up and dance, have a great time at the show aura. Normally, when we think of people such as these, we automatically assume they come from Hollywood, Nashville, or New York City. Connecticut has such a voice and such a presence in Ms. Nicole Frechette. Nicole hails from Guilford, CT. She recently was the winner of the Colgate Challenge beating out Singers from all over the New England area to win the coveted contest. The prize was the opportunity of a lifetime. The chance to open for Tim McGraw at Boston’s famed TweeterCenter. Nicole not only opened the show but sent the Tweeter Center Rocking with her melodic blend of Country, Blues, Pop, & Rock. The crowd paid to see Tim McGraw but what they had the chance to see and hear was Country’s next “Big Thing” and they couldn’t get enough. hile on the road to country stardom, Nicole is still grounded in her Connecticut roots. On August 2nd she brings to Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich what she brought to the TweeterCenter this past June. A “Foot Stomping, Country Pop Rocking’” performance as she appears as part of “Country Superstars in Concert – A Tribute to Country’s Music’s Best.” The show is a fundraiser for Byram Volunteer Fire Department. She is appearing with seasoned professional’s Doug Brewin and Late Night Rodeo as the Alan Jackson Tribute, and Dean Simmons as Garth Brooks. Both are regulars in “Legends in Concert” and perform not only all over the county but worldwide. Frechette is already being compared to such superstars as Taylor Swift, and Lee Ann Rimes. She can sing anything. Her inspiration for Country rather than Pop Rock comes from her Grandmother who would play Pasty Kline for her. When Lee Ann Rimes first emerged on the country scene (for those die hard country fans) you will remember that her debut was a cover of “Crazy” made famous by Kline. Nicole not only covers that song but makes it her own when she sings it. Currently she has embarked on a Northeastern U.S. Summer Tour to promote her debut CD “Life Had Other Plans”.Hearing and seeing her perform, there is no doubt that life does have other plans for her and they include doing what she does best. Bringing down houses and pleasing audiences across the country. For more information on Nicole Frechette, or to purchase her CD (which will also be available at the Country Superstars Show) visit nicolefrechette.com. If you love country music, (or music in general) don’t miss Country Superstars and your chance to see Nicole as a part of this event because the next time you have chance may be when she performs at venues such as The Dodge Music Theatre, the Tweeter Center, Jones Beach Music Theatre, or places that host big names and big summer concerts. Not that you wouldn’t want to see her in those places, but why wait when you can see her now.“Country Superstars in Concert – A Tribute to Country Music’s Best” is an all age’s family friendly event and is a fundraiser for Byram Volunteer Fire Department.
