History :

The Stamford Kiwanis Club was founded in Stamford in 1917. The first service club to be so established in Stamford has been in existence continuously since then.

During the 1950’s many national corporations moved into Stamford and for a time we were known at the “Research City”. The corporations encouraged employees to join a service club and Kiwanis along with other service clubs added its share of such corporate members.
