2009 New Year Celebration

For 15 years, the First Night Westport / Weston organization has transformed Westport into an entertainment Mecca of exciting and eclectic performances.

This year we are set to present First Night 2009, again transforming Westport into a vast stage welcoming visitors to venues all across downtown Westport to enjoy the best New Year’s Eve event in FairfieldCounty.

And at $15 for a button, that allows access to all performances, the price to join in the fun is the best value around anywhere. Beginning at 3pm and ending with a spectacular fireworks show at midnight, the button allows visitors entry into over 30 different shows at over a dozen different locations.

We are an all volunteer organization, so if you would like to help out at this year’s event, please call the First Night office at 203/341-1041 or just send us an e-mail at firstnight@westportct.gov . You can help out for a couple of hours and then enjoy the entertainment.

Volunteer opportunities include button checkers, button sellers, site managers and logistics assistance at each venue, crowd management, office support, security, deliveries and more. FIRST NIGHT is the place to volunteer if you want to be part of a fun community event celebrating New Year’s Eve.
