Chess Classes Start on July 15th!

Our terrific chess program will start up again on Wednesday, July 15th, from 4 to 5 pm, and all kids in grades 3 through 7 who are interested in learning more about this fascinating game are encouraged to join in!

Christopher Potts will return as the scholastic chess instructor for this six week session that runs through August 19th.

Beginners will learn the history and rules of the game, basic themes and patterns, and basic strategies and tactics. Advanced students will review, learn more advanced strategies and tactics, and learn optimal opening and endgame play.

Our program fee of $60 per student includes all six meetings on Wednesdays from July 15th through August 19th. What a great skill to gain or hone this summer! In-person registration is required - please call the Wilton Library at 203-762-3950 for more information.
