Watch for Cash Discounts at Gas Stations – But ‘Shop Smart’

Governor Rell said she is directing the Department of Consumer Protection to work closely with gasoline retailers to ensure that they follow state regulations regarding the unambiguous posting of cash and credit prices. The Governor is also directing DCP to work with dealers to encourage greater participation in such discount programs, which could offer a measure of relief for hard-pressed Connecticut consumers.
