The Butte County Fire Safe Council is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated third annual Paradise Grazing Festival. Set your calendars for an unforgettable day on Saturday, May 4th, 2024. Immerse yourself in family-friendly activities and educational experiences alongside our friendly goats from 10 am to 4 pm at the Terry Ashe Recreation Center. The Paradise Grazing Festival celebrates the vital role goats and other grazers can play in fuels reduction, wildfire prevention, and land management. May 4th is also Wildfire Community Preparedness Day, a national campaign to raise awareness and reduce wildfire risks. Join us for fun activities like:

• Storytime with Goats: Gather around with baby goats to listen to children’s books about our favorite grazers.

• Goat Yoga: Experience the serenity of yoga amidst playful young goats. • Live Music: Enjoy live performances by talented local musicians.

• Herding Demonstration: Witness the skill and precision of trained herding dogs in demonstrations, led by Swede, of Hanski Family Farms.

• Petting Zoo: Get up close and personal with friendly goats and Poppy, the herd guardian donkey.

• Food and Craft Vendors: Enjoy local food trucks and shop for unique crafts and gifts.

Admission to the Paradise Grazing Festival is free! Donations are greatly appreciated to support future grazing projects around Butte County and expand grazing education. For updates, visit https://buttefiresafe.net/events.
