Join the Hanson Public Library for Music in the Library! The evening will feature the music of the Gordon Engelgau Jazz trio playing Jazz Standards and The Great American Songbook.

The Gordon Engelgau Jazz Trio is a three-piece band featuring Gordon Engelgau on drums, Jonathan Fagan on piano, and Greg Loughman on bass. Gordon Engelgau is a performing jazz drummer hailing from Dover, DE who has played with multiple musical acts throughout the northeast. He is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, majoring in jazz drum set performance and contemporary media. He is also a graduate of Boston University, earning a master's degree in music education, and is currently the music teacher at Indian Head Elementary School in the Whitman-Hanson Regional School District. Jonathan Fagan is a prolific jazz pianist, composer, and educator in the Boston area, graduating with his master's degree from the Eastman School of Music. Jonathan is currently on faculty at the Winchester Community Music School, Concord Academy, and Brandeis University. Greg Loughman earned a Master of Music degree from the Berklee Global Jazz Institute. He is also an in-demand studio musician in the Boston area, and teaches at the Berklee College of Music, as well as teaching private lessons from his home or online. In the fall of 2020, he founded New England Jazz Connections, an organization that empowers jazz musicians to stage concerts to raise funds for worthy causes. Together, this trio delivers an exciting blend of traditional and modern jazz, with influences ranging from swing, Latin, and New Orleans styles of music.
