In this class, beginning and intermediate level students will study classical proportions of the face, neck, and shoulders to develop and refine fundamental drawing skills. Using a variety of 2D media, students will learn to capture both likeness and expression. Students will also review the work of contemporary artists who have used traditional portraiture for creative inspiration in their own expressions of identity.
