Honor the brave servicemen and women who gave their lives in the defense of our nation when the City of New Smyrna Beach and VFW Post 4250 host a Memorial Day Ceremony along the waterfront outside the Brannon Center at 105 S. Riverside Dr. from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Monday.
The schedule of events will begin with live music by the American Spirit Brass Band followed by a Presentation of the Colors, a four-plane flyover by Yankee Flight, an invocation by Reverend Peter Tepper, and remarks by VFW Post 4250 Commander Tony Witters, Mayor Fred Cleveland, Lieutenant General Robert Caslen Jr., and Colonel Ken Martin. The ceremony will then conclude with a Laying of the Wreaths, bagpipes, and an Honor Firing.
