Earth Day is April 22, and Tanger Outlets Pittsburgh plans to celebrate with a community tree planting in partnership with South Strabane Township on Monday, Aprill 22 at 11 a.m. Trees play a vital role in producing oxygen, improving air quality, reducing waste and pollution, conserving water and supporting wildlife, among other benefits.

Tanger’s dedication to planting trees in the communities it serves represents just one step in the company’s environmental commitment and sustainability goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050.

In addition, Tanger Pittsburgh proudly partners with urban beekeeping company Alvéole to house roughly 50,000 bees in one rooftop hives as part of its ongoing effort to increase the greater bee population locally and around the globe. On Tuesday, April 23 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Tanger Pittsburgh will host a bee workshop. These pollinators play an important role in contributing to a healthy, balanced ecosystem, and the community is welcome to follow along at Alvéole | MyHive (alveole.buzz) as Tanger kicks off its 2024 bee season. ​
